About The Vintage Affair

The fashion for afternoon tea is reputed to have been started by a peckish Duchess of Bedford in 1830. The Victorians made it a great British custom, with wafer thin sandwiches, platters of cakes and pots of tea accompanied by elegant china. At the Vintage Affair we love everything about this great British tradition and all the beautiful vintage crockery that goes with it.

Since I started collecting vintage crockery for my own wedding in 2009, where we served afternoon tea to our guests, my love for vintage crockery has become what some might call an obsession. Every piece in my collection has been carefully chosen for its charm and beauty. It gives me great pleasure to be able to hire my collection to others who share the same passion and enthusiasm for beautiful vintage crockery.
